You know your child better than anyone. Your involvement with your child's education is vital to their success--whether you volunteer on a regular basis, sign up for field trips, or simply make sure that your child's homework is completed--your child NEEDS you to be involved.
I will do my best to communicate on a regular basis about our classroom. You'll receive weekly newsletters. I'll do my best to update information on this website regularly. I type comments on report cards and progress reports. I'll respond to e-mail and phone calls as quickly as I can. But I ask for your patience in all these areas. There are more responsibilities than you can imagine with teaching. And sometimes the projects that we get involved in and are trying to complete consume so much time that I decide to let a newsletter go for a week to complete our class project. I am priveleged to have the opportunity to teach your child and it is not something that I take lightly. I have high expectations of my students and I have high expectations of your involvement in your child's education. I'll do everything I can to support, advise, and encourage you. Here is what I expect:
When your son sees that I care about his learning and that YOU care about his learning, then HE'LL be more likely to care about his learning! When your daughter sees that I'm excited about her accomplishments and knows YOU are proud of her accomplishments, then she will celebrate and take pride in her success! We are in this together! |
